Peony

Gallina and I planned a peony using a bug foam ball center . She changed it to a smaller center it looks even better!
My petal cutter from global sugar art only had two sizes I have seen some.cutters with four sizes. U think four looks better? We found many tutorials and cake central is a good source.
We started covering the foam ball with two 22 guage wire green looked nicer
Two more are shoved.in the ball for support its heavy!
9 petals covers in two layers over the foam ball with gumglue.
We thinned the petals.with a ball tool on a thin foam pad
This stretches the ruffled petals and then we cut 12 to 15 large petals.over our impression board with the seam on the back to fold over wire half way up
The large petals dried in an egg dish to form the cupped petals waiting for them to dry overniht is best!
We wrapped floral tape around the petals attaching each one overlapped eachother.. once dry can push petals on wire out to spread petals open. Pretty!!!!
